Four Peaks Brewing Co. got its start out of an old Tempe warehouse in the mid-nineties, and now the brewery doubles as a restaurant, with multiple locations.
The Tempe building was standing before Arizona became an official state. Before the brewery moved into the warehouse, it was formally a dairy creamery and Uranus Recording, where The Gin Blossoms and Stevie Nicks made music in the studio.
They first began brewing on Nov. 9, 1996, and on April 26, 1997, they opened their doors to begin selling beer. About a year later, they decided they didn’t want to just drink beer, they wanted to eat it too.
They started created a menu that incorporates the Four Peaks beer.
Since then, they have expanded to four different locations, with one being inside Sky Harbor Airport.
