YUMA, AZ — Arizona is no doubt a battleground state and what happens here on Election Day will play a crucial role defining who will become our next President.

ABC15 Morning’s anchor Kaley O’Kelley talked with President Trump in Yuma on Tuesday in an exclusive one-on-one interview.

They discussed a number of topics including his plans for a border wall.

“Huge senate race here... Arizona is a battleground state. We have Martha McSally vs Mark Kelley. Do you think people realize a vote for McSally is a vote for Trump and a vote for Kelly is a vote for Schumer? At least I've heard that.”

President Trump responded, “Arizona, wants it very badly. They want the wall. So do other states that are along the (border) but they want the wall.”

He added that Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer want to take the wall down. While looking at the wall the President said, “The wall is incredible. It works. It’s like, you know, nobody gets through… nobody. And I mean, it’s so high. This is just a small version of it, you know, it goes way up 30 over 30 feet, and they want to take it down.”

After a closer look, ABC15’s Political Insider Team found that earlier this month Joe Biden did tell the Dallas Morning news that he will not tear down any of President Trump’s border wall, but if elected he will stop building it.

Biden said, "There will not be another foot of wall construction in my administration."
