An alleged sex trafficker is behind bars or allegedly forcing a woman to prostitute herself and threatening to harm her daughter if she attempted to stop.

Tempe Police report that on July 7 Deshon Jones was pulled over near Loop 202 and Center Drive for failing to stay in his lane.

Police reportedly saw and smelled marijuana inside the car of 35-year-old Deshon Jones, who was driving on a suspended license and is a fugitive out of California.

While interviewing a woman who was in the car with him, police learned that she was working for Jones for the past three years and traveled throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.

Police say the victim has a large tattoo on her thigh that says "DJ tha Great" with two crowns on top of it. Police say pimps often brand their women with their names and the crown is a symbol for a pimp.

The woman reported to police that Jones knows about her daughter and threatened to harm her if she doesn't continue to work for him. She said Jones allows her only to have sex with white or Hispanic men because African-American men are seen as a "threat to his business."

Police say the victim appeared to be eager to get out and get help.

Jones has been charged with multiple counts of sex trafficking.
