A Tempe man is behind bars after allegedly attacking a teen playing basketball outside a community center.
Court documents show that 40-year-old Reginald Watson reportedly attacked a 14-year-old at the Escalante Community Center at Price Road and University drive.
The incident happened on Feb. 24 when the teen was playing basketball with his 7-year-old brother. Watson punched the teen in the head, neck and throat, according to police.
An adult stepped in and stopped the attack.
Watson ran away, but turned himself into police on March 7 related to a different warrant.
He was charged with aggravated assault.
