Police say a man on felony release is responsible for the thefts of empty beer kegs from Tempe and Scottsdale eateries.

Tempe police report on April 11, surveillance video from The Tilted Kilt at Priest Drive and Warner Road shows a man, later identified as, 32-year-old Michael David Ferrara, taking empty beer kegs from a storage area next to the restaurant.

Days earlier Scottsdale police identified Ferrara as the man who committed similar crimes in Scottsdale, leaving behind his cell phone during one of the robberies.

Tempe police located and arrested Ferrara on April 27. He allegedly told police he stole the kegs and was selling them to a friend for $15 each to make extra money.

He's been charged with burglary for the Tempe theft with charges from the Scottsdale thefts still pending.
