PHOENIX — Homeowners called police after finding a trespasser in their ceiling.

Phoenix police responded on April 13 to a home near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road for a trespasser.

Homeowners allegedly heard noises coming from their attic and called 911.

Officers reportedly located a suspect, later identified as Adriel Luna Rodriguez, 18, in the ceiling and deployed pepper balls into the attic.

Police arrested Rodriguez after his legs went through the ceiling drywall, according to court records.

Police say there was about $4,000 damage done to the roof, attic, and ceiling of the home.

He has been charged with criminal damage and trespassing.
