PHOENIX — A Phoenix man has been arrested and charged with having sexual contact with a teen boy.

Phoenix police report on August 9, investigators received a tip from a social media site saying a teen boy may be having "in-person sexual conduct" with an adult man.

Police interviewed the boy, who said he was in contact with 35-year-old Robert Joe Herrera. Court records show that online files revealed sexually explicit images of Herrera being sent to the boy and requests for the boy to send sexually explicit photos of himself.

There were also video chat discussions between the two talking about sex acts and future sexual encounters, according to the court documents. Other conversations reportedly talked about Herrera smoking marijuana with the boy.

Upon his arrest on August 28, Herrera allegedly admitted to having sexual contact with the boy.

He has been charged with sexual conduct with a minor.
