Authorities say two men accused in a deadly hit-and-run crash in Phoenix were arrested a couple of days after the collision.

On June 11, 32-year-old Aaron Pacheco and 28-year-old Isaac Antone were arrested for the crash, which happened two days before in the area of 19th and Glendale avenues.

According to a police spokeswoman, Pacheco was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death or injury, and Antone was arrested for hindering prosecution and false reporting.

Police say the victim, Nathaniel Leigh Navasie was walking against the light on 19th Avenue but was in a crosswalk.

After hitting the man, Pacheco was allegedly seen speeding northbound on 19th Avenue.

A neighbor reported to police that a possible suspect vehicle was located at an apartment complex. Police detained Pacheco and another man who had warrants for their arrest.

The other man reportedly told police that they went to a couple of bars together that evening. Police checked surveillance video at the first bar which allegedly shows both men drinking and the vehicle involved in the fatal collision at the bar undamaged.

Later that night the vehicle returns to the bar, this time, police say, the vehicle has 'extensive damage' to it.
