PHOENIX — The Phoenix Zoo was evacuated Friday after receiving a bomb threat around noon, according to zoo officials.
Officials say the threat was reported at the same time as similar incidents at several other zoos across the country, including Toledo Zoo.
Guests and staff were cleared from the grounds as a precaution. No injuries have been reported.
Out of an abundance of caution, the zoo will remain closed for the rest of the day but will be open at its regular time on Saturday.
