PHOENIX — Police located and arrested a woman who allegedly shot and killed her boyfriend earlier this month in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police report that on Feb. 5, they responded to a shooting call near 19th and Glendale avenues. There they found 65-year-old Isaack Drain, who was shot. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.

A witness in the home reportedly told police that she heard Renee Deshaune Perkins, 48, enter the home and confront Drain. She then heard a shot. When she entered the room, Drain allegedly said, "She shot me, she shot me."

Police say the witness later told them that Perkins and the victim had been arguing, and Drain had displayed "odd behavior" by sharpening a machete and fixing a rifle. The witness also said she had never seen firearms in the home in the past.

Perkins was located and arrested five days later near 12th Street and Indian School Road.

She is being held on a $1,000,000 bond for first-degree murder.
