PHOENIX — Officers located 10,000 fentanyl pills during a traffic stop in west Phoenix.

Phoenix police report that on January 26, a traffic stop was conducted near 67th Avenue and McDowell Road on a vehicle with a suspended license.

Police say the driver and the passenger, Sergio Torres Meza, 28, "seemed very nervous."

After reportedly getting permission to search the vehicle, they found 10,000 fentanyl pills on the passenger side of the car.

Meza has been charged with possession of narcotic drugs for sale.
