PHOENIX — A Phoenix man held a suspect for police by pinning him against his car while being stabbed by the suspect.

Phoenix police report that on October 11, they responded to a business near Cave Creek Road and Greenway Parkway for a reported theft.

When they arrived, they reportedly found Brandon William Pyne, 28, inside the victim's vehicle.

Police say the victim heard his car alarm going off and saw Pyne standing outside an open door. He ran outside and slammed the door on Pyne's legs, then placed his back against his truck, using his legs to pin Pyne in the door jam.

Pyne then allegedly grabbed a knife from inside the car and started stabbing the legs of the victim until Pyne's legs were free and the door closed.

He remained in the car until officers arrived.

Court records show that the victim suffered from several cuts to his legs but refused medical treatment.

Pyne is facing charges of aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.
