Phoenix man arrested after allegedly pulling son into traffic

A man has been arrested for pulling his son into oncoming traffic in Phoenix. 

Phoenix police report that on April 24, 37-year-old Alexander Chavez Garcia allegedly choked his son, who is under 15 years old, and "pulled him out in front of moving traffic."

According to police, Garcia did this near 91st Avenue and Indian School Road. at about 3 p.m.

A Phoenix police officer removed Garcia from the area, where he allegedly fought with the officer and later clashed with medical personnel who were trying to assist him. 

Garcia has been charged with multiple charges including child abuse and aggravated assault.
