A man has been arrested in north Phoenix after attempting to light a gas pump on fire.
Phoenix police report that in the early morning hours of November 14, they responded to a gas station near 35th and Dunlap avenues.
They say a customer ran into the convenience store and alerted employees that a man was trying to set one of the gas pumps on fire.
An employee ran out and saw 36-year-old Michael Baumgardner, with a gas pump in one hand and a lighter in the other. He yelled at Baumgardner to leave.
Police located him at an apartment complex next to the gas station.
Surveillance video from the store allegedly confirms Baumgardner involvement.
He was arrested on multiple counts of endangerment.
