PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after he allegedly attempted to steal school lunches from a high school in Phoenix.

Phoenix police report that on November 14, Tony Curtis, 38, allegedly tried to steal the lunches from Phoenix Christian High School near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Curtis allegedly tried to steal the meals while they were being delivered by an employee, but was unsuccessful and fled.

After running across the street, police say Curtis took a cell phone from another person before being captured just a few blocks away.

Curtis has been charged with theft and attempted theft.
