An inappropriate relationship between a Glendale man and a teenage girl is coming to light after the victim told her school resource officer.

Police said that from 2014 up until September of this year, 21-year-old Stephen Madden  had a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

The girl reported the incidents to her school resource officer on Sept. 14, court documents said.

She reportedly told police that Madden lived in the same apartment complex as she did in November 2014. She explained that the first day they met to and smoked hookah together, before later engaging in sexual activities.

She told police that Madden allegedly threatened to "kill whoever she told about what happened."

Police interviewed Madden on Oct. 12, when he allegedly admitted to meeting the victim when she was 13, and he was 19 years old. He reportedly told police they smoked hookah and had sex for the first time that day.

Madden has been charged with multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

According to court paperwork, he's being held without bond because he's on felony release.
