A DUI suspect in north Phoenix rammed two cars and fired shots from an AR-15.

Phoenix police report that on October 5, Leighton Jason Romero, 31, allegedly rear-ended a car near 12th Street and Bell Road. Police say after hitting the vehicle, Romero fired three shots from an AR-15 rifle as he passed by.

Romero then allegedly rear-ended another car down the street, before knocking on the door of a resident.

Police say they located two cases of beer in his vehicle, one of which was open. They also allegedly found three shell casings in the car.

Police say there was extensive damage to the front of Romero's car.

He's been charged with aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
