An adult teen was caught burglarizing five schools in Mesa and Tempe.

Mesa and Tempe police report that 18-year-old Dawan Antoine Oldham was arrested on August 29 near Dobson Road and Southern Avenue.

Police say Oldham burglarized four schools in three nights, taking electronic and computer equipment. In total, police say, the cost of the items stolen or damaged by Oldham is about $12,000.

Oldham was reportedly caught on surveillance video riding a longboard, stealing school property and damaging the doors and walls.

Upon his arrest, police allegedly found a backpack on him containing iPads, tablets and a portable speaker.

Police linked Oldham to thefts at Roosevelt Elementary School in Mesa, Holmes Elementary School in Mesa, Mesa High School, and Tempe's McClintock High School.

Police say Oldham was already on pre-trial release from another school theft in April of Westwood High School in Mesa.

Oldham has been charged with burglary and is now being held without bond.
