PHOENIX — A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a laptop computer from a Phoenix U.S. Social Security Office.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office reports that on May 14, Joshua Michiel Johns, 45, removed a laptop computer from the U.S. Social Security Office near 7th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
Investigators say the burglary was caught on surveillance video. Johns, who was on pretrial release for drug charges, was arrested when he reported to the pretrial services office on July 23.
Johns allegedly admitted to entering the federal building and stealing the computer.
He's being held without bond for burglary.
