Fugitive Friday: Attempted sex assault convict sought by Phoenix police

PHOENIX - Each Friday, we're looking for your help to track down fugitives in our state.

Wanted: Samuel Burdett Duncan

Charges: Probation violation on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender

Samuel Duncan was supposed to begin his lifetime probation in January.

He is missing and hasn't been seen by authorities for over a month.

Duncan had already served time in prison after being convicted of an attempted sexual assault with a minor in 1997 when he was 16-years-old.

He was released from adult prison in 2014.

Since his release, officers say Duncan has violated his probation conditions by continuing to contact children.

They say Duncan has told them that he "wants to reject probation supervision now and serve the remainder of his sentence in the Department of Corrections."

Duncan is 36 years old, 5-foot, 6-inches tall, and weighs 190 pounds.

He has brown hair and brown eyes.
