A DUI suspect was arrested for reportedly going over 100 miles per hour the wrong way on Loop 303.

The Department of Public Safety reports that on February 16, around 2:30 a.m., they got word of a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of L-303 near Indian School Road.

DPS says an Arizona Department of Transportation vehicle "paralleled the vehicle at times, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph."

A DPS trooper stopped the SUV on L-303 near El Mirage Road. DPS says the driver, Jose Luis Rodriguez, 27, swayed when standing outside of his vehicle.

The Tolleson resident refused to take a breath test. DPS later got a warrant to get a blood sample from Rodriguez.

He was charged three days later with aggravated DUI and multiple counts of endangerment.
