CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash with a bicyclist.

On April 12 about 6:15 p.m., a black Jeep SUV was traveling westbound on Galveston Street near Alma School Road when it struck a bicyclist crossing the street.

Witnesses told police that the driver stopped for a moment then left. They described the vehicle as a black SUV with a roof rack, believed to be Jeep Patriot, police say.

There should be damage to the front passenger side hood and bumper.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in a Valley hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130 or Silent Witness at 480-W-I-T-N-E-S-S (948-6377).
