On April 12 about 6:15 p.m., a black Jeep SUV was traveling westbound on Galveston Street near Alma School Road when it struck a bicyclist crossing the street.

Witnesses told police that the driver stopped for a moment then left. They described the vehicle as a black SUV with a roof rack, believed to be Jeep Patriot, police say.

There should be damage to the front passenger side hood and bumper.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in a Valley hospital.
