Three teens have been arrested in connection with a March 18 shooting at a Tempe apartment complex.

Court records show that a party at the Vertex apartment complex near Rural Road and Apache Blvd. ended after four teens entered the apartment and tried to rob someone inside. One of the suspects ended up being shot during a struggle for another suspect's gun.

About 25 people were inside the apartment when witnesses say four men returned about 5 a.m. intending to rob a partygoer who was "flashing a lot of cash, marijuana and Xanax pills."

Police say 18-year-old Christian Ohle-Warren went into the apartment first, armed with a small handgun and ordered everyone to the ground

Three others reportedly entered the apartment with him. Two of them were later identified as Auston Dailey and Diontay Black, both 19.

As Warren held them at gunpoint, the others searched the bedrooms. Witnesses say this is when some of the partygoers attempted to get the gun away from Warren.

Dailey came back into the room and assisted Warren in the struggle, when one shot was fired, hitting Dailey in the thigh.

All the suspects then fled the apartment, with Warren firing off more shots as they ran down the hallway. Police report that Warren later ditched the gun inside a fire extinguisher box.

Tempe police, responding to the shots fired call, saw they teens running away. They were able to catch Daily who was bleeding heavily from his gunshot wound.

Witnesses identified the suspects, and police arrested three of them over the next few days.

So far they are all being charged with burglary, but other charges of armed robbery are still possible.
