Popular Valley-based apparel company State Forty Eight has become an official licensee of Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.

While SFE is not the first local company to produce Sun Devil or Wildcat-branded clothing, it is the first licensee to create product that integrates its own branding with the colors and logos of the universities.

“Achieving licensee status with ASU and UofA is a tremendous accomplishment for us,” State Forty Eight co-founder and CEO Michael Spangenberg said in a statement. “The demand for Arizona collegiate designs has been high for many years so we’re excited to finally be able to launch it.”

The company has already created four new co-branded T-shirt designs for ASU and UArizona fans.
