The total number of passengers to fly into or out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport during August increased compared with the same month in 2018.
The region’s primary airport saw 3,651,884 passengers during August, a 2.2% increase from the total passengers Sky Harbor saw a year earlier, according to a report released Tuesday by the city of Phoenix Aviation Department.
Even though about 79,000 more people used Sky Harbor in August than compared with the previous year, the airport did it with 78 fewer landings.
With a total of 15,282 landings in August, the airport saw a year-over-year decline by 0.5%.
