Online real estate brokerage Redfin has launched its instant homebuying platform, RedfinNow, in the Phoenix metro area.

The service allows Valley sellers to request cash offers for their homes directly from RedfinNow and sell to Redfin. That’s in addition to the option of selling on the open market with local Redfin agents, which has been available since 2010. After Redfin has bought a home, it makes renovations and relists it for sale within 90 days.

The company touts the convenience of iBuying, which allows homeowners to avoid having to fix up their homes or hold open houses or private showings.

"In a red-hot housing market like Phoenix, RedfinNow is a great solution for people who need the cash from their current home to make a winning offer on their next,” RedfinNow Vice President Jason Aleem said in a statement. “We let sellers choose their closing date, so they have the money to complete their purchase and only have to move once."

The launch in Phoenix follows RedfinNow’s entry into San Francisco and Seattle in late 2020. Besides those cities, the service now operates in other California metros as well as markets in Texas and Colorado.
