City of Phoenix officials are putting the final touches on a new grant program that will give upward of $15 million to Phoenix-based small businesses, including sole proprietors and independent contractors.

Plans call for going back to the City Council next week with criteria and application process for final approval.

If the Council gives the green light, city officials would be ready to start accepting grant applications by mid-week next week.

When the application process opens, small businesses can find the application on the city of Phoenix website.
