DOW Electronics, the independently owned and operated electronics distributor based in Tampa, Florida, is expanding its reach into the other side of the United States with its latest acquisition.

DOW announced Friday that it had acquired certain assets of Phoenix-based Audio Video Warehouse; namely, a pair of former warehouse locations. These locations opened up under the DOW name on Monday, and the move has allowed the company to expand its reach into not just the Phoenix metropolitan area but all of Arizona, New Mexico and the Las Vegas metropolitan region.

"This acquisition continues DOW’s growth and expansion in the custom integration industry,” President & CEO John Yodzis said in a statement. “We are very excited to start building lasting relationships with new customers and vendor partners. Our team is ready to show customers the benefits and support available when doing business with DOW."

According to a spokesman for the company, the two warehouses are located in Scottsdale and Las Vegas. He said that the existing employees of those warehouses would be retained and that they would begin the transition to becoming DOW Electronics employees on Monday. The spokesman declined to share any further financial details of the transaction.
