Automobile retailer CarMax says it will hire more than 200 people to join its call center in Tempe and plans a two-day Curbside Career Fair this week for interested applicants.
The hiring comes as Virginia-based CarMax continues to bring its staffing numbers up to projected levels amid continued strength in its vehicle sales revenue after a brief slump in the early days of the pandemic.
Interested applicants can attend the hiring event on either Jan. 13 or Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the call center at 1515 W. 14th St. in Tempe.
The event allows applicants, who must wear face coverings, to remain in their vehicles for social distancing to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
