Phoenix-based Banner Health, the state's largest health system, has purchased a Glendale-based physician practice.
Banner Healthsaid Dec. 4 it had acquired Phoenix Orthopaedic Consultants. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are thrilled to have these prominent and well-respected community providers join our employed medical group," said Patrick Rankin, chief executive officer of Banner Medical Group, in a statement.
Phoenix Orthopaedic Consultants specializes in fracture and trauma treatment for children and adults, as well as hand surgery, joint replacement surgery, sports medicine, spine surgery and general orthopaedic care, according to its website.
