Arizona Technology Council appoints UArizona tech parks leader to board

The Arizona Technology Council has appointed Carol Stewart, associate vice president of Tech Parks Arizona for the University of Arizona, to its board of directors.

Stewart provides direction for the UA Tech Park, which has more than 50 tenant companies employing almost 6,000 people and which generates an economic impact of $2 billion annually in the state.

She is also leading the development of a second park, the UA Tech Park at The Bridges.

The tech parks mission is to grow new businesses and launch companies, and Stewart said working with the Technology Council plays into that mission.
