LAS CRUCES, NM — Officials are on the lookout for two New Mexico boys who have been missing since earlier this month.

Maverick Ransom, 3, and Orion Ransom, 4, are believed to be with their father, who is an unregistered sex offender.

They were last seen October 8 with 52-year-old Clarence Michael Ransom, who picked them up from a Las Cruces daycare center.

Police believe Ransom traveled to Juarez, Mexico, on the day he picked them up and returned back to the United States. It’s unknown if the two children traveled with him.

Las Cruces police say Ransom shares custody with the boys’ mother, but picked them up from the daycare center without notifying anyone of his travel intentions.

“A nationwide warrant has been issued for Ransom’s arrest. The warrant charges Ransom with failure to register as a sex offender and non-compliance with a custodial agreement,” police say.

Both boys are about 3 feet, 6 inches tall and 30 pounds.

Ransom is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 195 pounds. He was last seen driving a 2013 Toyota Camry with temporary license plates. His last known address is in Las Cruces.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact 575-526-0795, or 911.
