Visitors to the Phoenix Convention Center will step inside the world of weed this weekend.
The Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo will take over the convention center with marijuana professionals leading workshops on the ins and outs of the budding industry.
This is the second year for the SWCC Expo and more than 300 exhibitors and thousands of visitors are expected at the three-day conference. The theme this year is "The World of Tomorrow".
Recreational marijuana in Arizona remains a politically charged issue as voters will decide on the initiative to legalize it in November. The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act passed in 2010 paving the way for patients to have access to cannabis for medicinal purposes.
The convention is expected to focus on the potential for marijuana policy changes in Arizona. Organizers said there will be no cannabis at the event.
