Smokehaus, a Santa Maria-style BBQ with an Arizona twist, closed its restaurant but will continue catering.
According to a statement from the company, it will run the catering business out of Brat Haus, which was located next to Smokehaus in Old Town.
The company posted this statement on its Facebook page recently:
Despite best efforts to establish itself as a valley BBQ destination, Smokehaus Restaurant will return to its catering roots. "We had high expectations for Smokehaus to be a huge success. Unfortunately, due to declining sales and unexpected increases in overhead costs, we have had to make the tough decision to close our doors," said, Dave Andrea of Smokehaus.
