This isn't your grandma's grocery shopping store anymore. Weekly trips to the supermarket have become an experience.
Wine bars, sushi chefs and coffee stands are the norm in places like Fry's Marketplace stores; the newest location will open in Chandler on Oct. 21.
“This new store is our fourth Marketplace store to open this year,” says Fry’s President Steve McKinney. “Store Manager Bruce Yeo and his team are excited to welcome their new neighbors and customers."
Fry’s will celebrate the grand opening at Ocotillo and Gilbert starting at 7 a.m. with food sampling and a ribbon cutting later in the morning.
The new Fry's Marketplace will also feature its curbside pick-up service known as ClickList. Customers order groceries online and pick them up outside the store. According to a news release from Fry's, the $4.95 service fee for ClickList will be waived for the first three orders.
