PHOENIX – A former Arizona State University basketball star is now carrying twins for her twin sister.

Jill Noe volunteered to be a surrogate for her sister Whitney Bliesner who has a medical condition that makes pregnancy risky. It’s called neurofibromatosis type two. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, NF2 is the growth of noncancerous tumors in the nervous system.

Despite her condition, Whitney has always wanted to be a mom, especially after marrying her husband Peter three years ago. Sadly, the expense of adopting or hiring a surrogate was too much for the couple.

Jill volunteered without thinking twice and says she is happy to do this for them.

The twin babies, a boy and a girl, are both healthy and due on June 6.
