PHOENIX Put the handmade coupon book down this Father’s Day.

The dad celebration is on June 16. If you still need gift ideas, here is a list of things you probably should and probably should not get your dad (depending on his sense of humor).

Good ideas:

Photo Personalized Golf Ball Set  If your dad is into golf, this is a nice way to add a personalized touch to his favorite activity. Plus, if he ever gets frustrated with you, he can take out his aggression on a golf ball with your face on it.

New shirt  This does not need much explanation. A dad always needs a new shirt. Check out Old Navy for deals on men’s apparel all priced under $15.

GoT poker set  The series may be over, but it can live on forever with this custom-made poker cover.

KitchenAid Cold Brew Coffee Maker  If he’s a coffee drinker, check out these cool cold brew KitchenAid coffee makers. That way, he’ll think of how great you are every morning.

Jerky Tool Box If your dad is your personal handyman, fix something for him this Father’s Day: his hunger!

Leather Wallet  If your dad is like mine, he probably uses his wallet until it falls apart. Help him out with one of these leather wallets. You can even engrave a custom message!

Charcoal Kettle Grill It is summer which means it’s BBQ season!

Now, here are some gag gifts you might want to stay clear of (unless your dad can handle it).

Funny gifts:

All-white puzzle This 1000 piece puzzle will keep him busy for a while.

A singing fish It’s funny but probably not what he wants in his man cave.

Toy Fireplace He may like to sit outside by the glow of the fire, but I’m not sure this is what he had in mind.

Try your best to treat your dad to something he will love. It’s the thought that counts, but it does not hurt to put some extra thought into it this year.
