Yandy is notorious for creating hot costumes each year. So, how do they stay ahead of the trends?
“We have a doc in the office where people are putting ideas. It’s up to us to figure out if these ideas are great enough to put into production. If they can sell.”
This year, “it” costumes include outfits inspired by cauliflower pizza, Beyond Meat and tariffs. The latter is an update to Yandy’s very popular fake news costume.
Yandy starts planning costumes for next season as soon as November but Pilar says they can get last-minute ideas online in just a couple weeks.
