Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at this Mexican Coffee Shop in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Tres Leches Cafe, a mexican coffee shop, is celebrating Dia de los Muertos by asking the community to contribute to its ofrenda.

Cafe staff will create and display an alter for customers and the public as a collective way of honoring loved ones who have died.

Traditionally in Mexican culture, an ofrenda is a collection of trinkets and objects displayed on an alter to honor the dead.

Day of the Dead, All Souls Day, or Dia de los Muertos is known in the Mexican Culture as a day to honor those who have died. It takes place every year starting on Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.

Tres Leches Cafe is located at 1714 W Van Buren Street in Phoenix.
