PHOENIX — Veterans Day is next Monday, Nov. 11 and veterans and active military are able to get into Maricopa County parks for free. Usually, it costs about $7 for each vehicle to enter, but that will be waived.

“The sacrifice you make to serve our country and the time away from family and friends can never be repaid. At Maricopa County, we want to provide a small token of appreciation by providing free park entrance for those who are currently or have served for Military Service Appreciation Day. We invite you to visit our parks, relax, and take in the beauty Maricopa County has to offer. Thank you for your service and welcome!”

Here is a list of the parks from Maricopa County Parks:

  • Adobe Dam Regional Park
  • Buckeye Hills Regional Park
