Phoenix police sergeant rescues emu near 65th Street and Cactus Road

SCOTTSDALE — How emu-sing! (Okay, we have to admit, we borrowed that joke from the Phoenix Police Department).

Police were called to the area of 65th Street and Cactus Avenue around 6 a.m. for reports of a large bird on the loose.

When officers arrived, they saw the emu, pictured above.

"Officers were able to secure the pet bird and located the owner after we posted it to social media," the Phoenix Police Department posted on their Facebook page.
