Update (Feb. 5): In a tweet, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, which serves at the Spring Training home for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, said Spring Training ticket sales for the D-backs home games have been suspended "[d]ue to further review regarding Spring Training details."

Tickets were scheduled to go on sale on Saturday, Feb. 6.

"We will alert fans with information about a new on sale date when it is available," the tweet said.

ABC15 has reached out to the Arizona Diamondbacks organization for confirmation and to request additional information.

There has been some debate in recent weeks about whether or not Spring Training would start on time or be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, workouts were scheduled to begin on Feb. 17 with the first home games scheduled for Feb. 27.

While there is still debate about whether or not Spring Training will start later this month or be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, tickets for the Arizona Diamondbacks' Spring Training games will go on sale on Saturday, Feb. 6, the team announced.

The D-backs have 15 home games scheduled at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. You can view schedule and ticket information, here.

The first game is Feb. 27 against the Colorado Rockies, who share Salt River Fields with them. A start time was still "TBD," as of Wednesday morning. Workouts are scheduled to begin on Feb. 17.

To be expected, there are a number of COVID-19 safety protocols in place that will alter the experience a bit.

Season tickets are not available this year. Seats will be sold in groups of 2, 4, or 6 and will be distanced from other groups.

Also, seats within six feet of the warning track and 12 feet of the team dugouts will not be sold this year.

Everyone is required to wear a mask throughout the complex unless in their seating and actively eating or drinking, the website for Salt River Fields states. People will be asked not to walk around and eat or drink.

Also, no bags will be allowed inside the stadium this year.

"Guests should only bring necessary items that can fit in their pockets," according to the website. Medical bags or diaper bags can be brought in and will receive additional screening.

Also, cash will no longer be accepted for parking or at any of the vendors inside the stadium. Guests will have to use credit, debit, or other cashless options, such as Apple Pay.

Players will not sign autographs before or after their games, fans will not be allowed inside the stadium to watch batting practice this year, and the Cold Stone Fun Field will be closed during all games.

Staff members will undergo health screenings and temperature checks. Socially-distant queues and markers have been placed in front of concessions and vendors.

For concessions, some concessions and vendors will have limited menus. All items will be individually wrapped and have a lid, such as drinks. Refills will not be offered this year.

Concessions include Streets of New York Pizza, The Show & 101 Cattle Company, Home Plate Hot Dogs, Chick-Fil-A, Mustache Pretzels, and The Bar.

The team store will also be open and will limit the number of people inside at a time.
