Because of the high temperatures forecasted for Arizona over the week, zoos and animal sanctuaries are making changes to care for its animals and guests.

The Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park said in a Facebook on Monday that all of its rides will be closed through Wednesday because of the heat.

The kangaroo walkabout and giraffe feeding stations will also be closed.

The zoo is located near the Loop 303 and Northern Avenue in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

Tucson's Reid Park Zoo reduced its hours for the week. The Phoenix Zoo said its animals had access to a variety of water sources including hose baths, ponds, mud wallows and night houses to cool off.

Staff was also preparing ice treats for the animals.
