Pizza People Pub is closing its doors.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, the nearly four-year-old restaurant announced that its last day would be Sunday, June 11.

"When we created the space, we wanted everyone to feel at home, relaxed, welcome. A place where you could escape the rat race. A "Cheers" of sorts. We hope you felt that," read the post.

Rising food costs, the recent increase in the state's minimum wage, labor shortage and "saturation of new restaurants" were reasons for the closure, according to the post.

"Restaurant success relies on volume business and despite our best efforts, Pizza People just wasn't seeing the customer numbers needed to meet the rising operating costs," the post said.

The operating hours will be Monday - Thursday, 4 p.m. - 10 p.m., Friday - Saturday, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
