Two of Arizona's fine-dining restaurants have been named one of the best in America for the second year in a row.

OpenTable, the digital reservation-booking site for restaurants across the country, unveiled its list of the "100 Best Restaurants for Foodies in America 2016" on Wednesday.

Kai, the signature restaurant at Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, and the only restaurant in the state with AAA's Five Diamond rating, made the list, as did Scottsdale's Monarch (formerly Cafe Monarch).

Both Kai and Monarch made the same list last year.

Kai's menu, like the resort itself, is deeply rooted in the history and culture of the Pima and Maricopa Indian communities. If you're looking to add an ounce of romance, make sure to request a table on the patio (during the cooler months) or along the windows (during summer months) so you can watch the sunset. View the menu.

Monarch offers a contemporary American menu, according to its website, in an intimate and romantic environment. The outdoor courtyard features lanterns, vines while the interior dining room looks quaint with a rustic charm. View the menu.

OpenTable said the list was crafted using more than five million reviews from its verified users of more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states and District of Columbia. The reviews had to be submitted between August 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016 and include the "fit for foodies" category.

You can view the complete list here. We've also mapped out each of the 100 restaurants below.

OpenTable also acknowledged that "established restaurants have a strong presence on the list," but said new eateries were "sprinkled throughout." For Arizona, Monarch and Kai are considered established restaurants.
