Mac & Cheese Fest coming to Scottsdale Waterfront in October

A festival dedicated to macaroni and cheese is coming to the Valley in the fall.

The inaugural Mac & Cheese Fest AZ will take over the Scottsdale Waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 7, organizers have announced.

The waterfront is located across from Fashion Square Mall near Camelback and Scottsdale roads.

Roughly 30 chefs and restaurants will set up booths and serve sample mac-and-cheese-inspired dishes. There will also be craft beer vendors, chef demonstrations, drinks for sale, and a game area.

Admission is $15 per person which includes entry to the festival. It does not include food or drink sample tickets.

To sample food and drink, separate tickets will have to be bought. Those can be purchased online or at the festival. The package options are below. Individual tickets will be sold at the festival.

  • Food-only package: $20, includes 10 food tickets. No drink tickets.
  • Package #1: $25, five food and five drink tickets
  • Package #2: $40, 10 food and 10 drink tickets
  • Package #3: $52, 15 food and 15 drink tickets 

A VIP ticket is $75 and includes admission at 11 a.m., an hour early, 15 food tickets and five drink tickets.

Between July 14 and 16, general admission tickets will be on salefor $10 each. The promo code is MacCheeseLove.

The festival is scheduled to open at noon and close at 7 p.m. VIPs will be let in at 11 a.m.

According to the website, the festival is still looking for restaurants and chefs to join. Booths are $150 or $250.
