The restaurant is located near 36th Street and Indian School Road next to Sip Coffee & Beer House in Phoenix.
After Hazelwood's Sports Grill closed, Gino's moved in and built it's 4,400-square-foot building from the ground up.
It's the first Arizona location for the Chicago pizzeria and its 18th overall.
"The wait is finally over, and we are pleased to be able to bring a little piece of Chicago to the Valley of the Sun," said Jordan Himmel, chief information officer for Bravo Restaurants, said in a news release. Bravo Restaurants is the parent company of Gino's East.
Last year, three of Chicago's major pizzerias -- Lou Malnati's, Giordano's and Gino's East -- all announced their plans to open locations in Arizona. Lou Malnati's and Giordano's have already opened.
Gino's East serves deep-dish and thin-crust pizza, along with fresh salads and sandwiches. The hours will be Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. - midnight on Friday and Saturday.
The Arizona restaurant will keep the pizzeria's tradition of allowing guests to write their names on the walls.
On April 24, 10 percent of its proceeds will be donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital, according to the news release. There will also be a raffle to win one pizza a month for a year. To enter, you have to go to the restaurant and fill out a raffle ticket.
Gino's East has other locations in Chicago, Wisconsin, Texas and internationally in Mexico City.
