CHANDLER, AZ — After a sold-out first weekend, Harkins is hosting another weekend of drive-in throwback movies near its theater in Chandler. They've also added a couple late-night showtimes.
The movie lineup for this weekend includes Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Grease.
Here is the schedule:
Friday, Aug. 14
Ferris Bueller's Day Off, 8 p.m.
Raiders of the Lost Ark, 10:45 p.m.
Saturday, Aug 15
Raiders of the Lost Ark, 8 p.m.
Grease, 10:45 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 16
Grease, 8 p.m.
Admission is $35 per vehicle and includes a bag of Harkins "Big Party" popcorn and two bottled drinks, such as soda or water.
Tickets have to be bought online at harkins.com/drive-in and in advance. Tickets will not be sold at the theater, according to Harkins' website.
The parking lot opens at 7 p.m. and the first showing starts at 8 p.m. It is recommended to be there by 7:45 p.m. for the early showing.
There will be a curbside concession stand selling popcorn, nachos, candy and other snacks. It closes one hour after the movie starts.
Other things to know:
- Restrooms are available inside the theater
- Masks are required when away from the vehicle, including going to the restroom or to the concession stand
- You are allowed to watch the movie outside the vehicle, but you do have to remain six feet from other people and groups
