The chef behind Scottsdale restaurants Zinc Bistro, The Mission and The House Brassier is opening a new restaurant this week.

Chef Matthew's latest project is Fat Ox, a 7,000-square-feet modern Italian restaurant named after the long-standing cattle showcase and food festival in Piedmont, Italy.

It will be located within the Lincoln Plaza near Lincoln Drive and Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale.

Fat Ox officially opens on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. It will be open throughout the week and serve dinner only, but weekend brunch is said to be coming soon, according to a news release.

The menu features house-made pastas, mesquite-roasted seafood and poultry, table-side Caesar salads, and slow-roasted steaks, including a 40-ounce Porterhouse.

It will be able to seat 350 people, has an ocean-liner-styled lounge, a dining room, and a 2,000-square-foot private dining room.
