CHANDLER, AZ — Friday nights in downtown Chandler are going to have a little bit more music to them.
That is because the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, a non-profit organization that promotes businesses and development in downtown Chandler, is launching "Friday Night Live," a free monthly concert series that will be held on the third Friday of the month at Dr. AJ Chandler Park.
The first event is scheduled for this Friday, Oct. 18, and will feature performances by Black Beard's Delight and Rock Lobster. Black Beard's Delight will perform at 6:15 p.m. followed by Rock Lobster at 7 p.m., according to a post on the Downtown Chandler Community Partnership Facebook page.
People can bring blankets and chairs to the concert. There will also be life-sized Jenga, corn hole, and face-painting, according to the Facebook post.
They also released the lineup for events through May 2020. That schedule is below.
